Job Description

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is there for everyone affected by sight loss. We are the UK's leading charity offering information, support and advice to almost two million people with sight loss. Our ambition is to make every day better for everyone affected by sight loss: by being there when people need us, supporting independent living, creating an inclusive society and preventing sight loss. Our work is broad ? from campaigning on a range of issues from preventing sight loss through to better transport services for blind and partially sighted people. This is a significant time of change for our organisation as we evolve the way our services are delivered and ensure our support and influence reaches more people. We are now seeking a new Relationships Director in what is a key role in the leadership of RNIB which will help to shape strategic plans and realise our ambitions. An exciting, wide-ranging and flagship role in the charity sector, it brings together fundraising, communications and marketing together with our communities and partnership activities in one, integrated directorate that will extend our reach, grow our income and increase our brand awareness. We?re looking for an outstanding, strategic leader who brings the skills and experience to develop and drive a successful, customer centred team. A dynamic, ambitious and self-assured ambassador, you will be driven by developing relationships that put our customers at the heart of all we do. We?re open to where you come from - you may currently be in the private sector or already established in a not for profit context - but whatever your background, you will bring a successful track record of delivering innovation and change in a customer driven organisation. With the confidence and credibility to engage and enthuse a broad range of stakeholders, you will be values driven with ability to inspire and empower people. It goes without saying that your relationship building will be second to none. This is a great opportunity to join us at a critical point in our journey.
