Job Description

40,875 ? 46,070 inclusive of London Weighting and pay premium p.a. Permanent Full-time London We know the world faces massive environmental problems, but it?s not all doom and gloom. We see things differently and know there are ways to fix these problems. Over the last 45 years, Friends of the Earth has run many powerful, successful campaigns resulting in lasting change: including doorstep recycling in every town, the phase out of leaded petrol, protection for our best wildlife sites, the world?s first climate change act, solar panels on half a million houses, five years without fracking and much, much more besides. We want to see a healthy environment, providing a decent life for generations to come. We are determined that the next generation see an environment that is getting better: a safer climate, flourishing nature, healthy air, water and food. Our work is only possible because of the passionate and committed people who work with us and the generous donations made. Which is where you come in. We are recruiting for an inspiring and ambitious Major Partnerships Manager to lead our Major Partnerships team in delivering their strategies, guiding relationship management approaches and ensuring that income targets are achieved and exceeded. You?ll work with the team to ensure that prospects and donors are actively engaged and inspired by the work of Friends of the Earth, building lasting, long term relationships. You will also manage your own small portfolio of major donors and prospects. You will do all this, whilst providing excellent, motivating management, focusing on building the skills and capacity of the team. You will have significant experience of leading strategic high value partnership teams and strong experience of developing and managing relationships in major gifts and corporate partnerships. You will be a strategic thinker and influencer, with excellent communication skills who is able to manage the performance and development of your team to achieve its objectives.
