Salary: London Living Wage (9.75 an hour) Location: London Hours/days per week: 35 hours / 5 days per week / 1.0 FTE Contract: 6 months Closing date: 3 February 9am Interview date: 15 February Friends of the Earth is campaigning to ensure that by 2030 the next generation will enjoy an environment that?s getting better: a safer climate, flourishing nature, and healthy air, water and food. Our Clean Air Campaign is working to protect everyone from the harmful effects of transport emissions in UK towns and cities. We are empowering people and groups to campaign for cleaner air locally and nationally, working most closely with communities disproportionately impacted by pollution. As the team's Intern you will support the delivery of the campaign by carrying out data processing and quality control for our national air quality monitoring project. This will involve taking responsibility for a critical element of the process behind our ?Clean Air Kits?, including logging and analysing basic pollution data. Full training will be given. You will also: draft copy for news stories and other content on the Friends of the Earth website support the delivery of training and events carry out other basic administrative duties to support the team. Close attention to detail is essential in this role, as well as the ability to quickly familiarise yourself with a range of digital tools. You will have excellent communication and people skills and be able to multi task with ease.
