Job Description
Up to three Trustees
London
We are a large and high-profile homelessness charity. Formed in April 2014 through the merger of two long established charities, we currently work across London and the south of England but influence and campaign nationally to help people affected by homelessness rebuild their lives. With an annual turnover of around 85m, we support men and women through more than 250 projects including street outreach, hostel and supportive housing projects, advice services and specialist physical health, mental health and work services. We house 2,600 people every night and our wide range of services help around 25,000 people a year.
We now have more potential than ever to change more lives and influence housing and homelessness policy and services for good. With ambitious growth plans in place, and a highly effective executive team, we?re now seeking up to three new Trustees to join our Board. In these crucial non-executive appointments, you will contribute through your own professional expertise and background and as a collegiate member of the team, ensuring we are positioned to deliver our strategic priorities. Our relationships with the regulators, government and others across our Sector are increasingly important and, as Trustee, you will also act as an ambassador for St Mungo?s, bringing your own network of contacts to support us.
We are particularly looking for individuals who offer deep experience, gained at a senior level, in either commercial law or fundraising and development. Experience as a communicator would also be relevant, as we continue to raise our profile. Whatever your background, you will share our desire to make a lasting difference to the lives of homeless people now and in the future and will be as excited as we are about our potential to turn bold ambitions into reality.

The closing date for applications is Friday 9th December 2016.
