Alzheimers Society is the UKs leading support and research charity for people with dementia, their families and carers. There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK and numbers are set to rise to over 1 million by 2025.
We are looking for a motivated individual who has experience of working in health and social care, in either a statutory or voluntary capacity, to manage our Dementia Support and Advice services in Southwark and Lambeth. The successful candidate will manage a high performing team of Dementia Advisers, Dementia Support Workers and a Caf facilitator as well as carry a small caseload of people affected by dementia.
You will possess NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) or demonstrable experience. You must be competent on IT and have some experience of using client recording systems.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we are looking to develop our dementia services in Lambeth and Southwark and to be part of making a difference to the lives of people affected by dementia in those boroughs.
You will be a member of the SE London Locality Management team as well as other opportunities to further develop your management skills.
In Lambeth we have a high population of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic Groups BAME. We encourage applicants who are able to engage with people from minority ethnic communities to apply for the role. There is also an underrepresentation of male support workers in the area, so we would particularly welcome male applicants to apply.
Alzheimers Society is committed to equal opportunities.
