Job Description

With member unions representing almost six million working people from all walks of life the TUC campaigns for a fair deal at work and for social justice at home and abroad. Grade 6 37,974 per annum including London Weighting rising incrementally to 39,328 Permanent Contract, 35 hours per week Based at Congress House, London WC1B 3LS The role offers the post holder a significant opportunity to become involved in and contribute towards TUC policy and campaigns work. Tasks are wide ranging and incorporate support for policy and research and campaign projects. Communication and campaign skills are key as is experience of supporting policy development. In addition, the successful candidates will also need to demonstrate: Campaigning experience Experience of project management Excellent writing skills Sound organizational skills Strong team-working skills Knowledge and understanding of key issues for the TUC including current issues in trade unionism, public services, economic and social affair and politics Ability to meet targets and deadlines The closing date for completed application forms is 12 noon Tuesday 6 September 2016.
