You could now become a part of the team behind our fantastic bees fundraising campaign as we are looking for a new Individual Giving Officer to join Friends of the Earth. This is a great opportunity to develop your abilities in a vibrant fundraising team. We're looking for a dynamic fundraiser with direct marketing skills to manage their own projects and budgets; a person with a flair for creativity and a head for numbers, who is good at working to schedules but is also flexible to last minute changes. We want a person who has enthusiasm to learn and develop and someone who is willing to share learning across the team. Purpose of the role Our Individual Giving Officers have the opportunity to work on a mix of direct marketing projects across both donor acquisition and retention and to support the rest of the team in the delivery of fundraising campaigns. Our programme spans telemarketing, print, DRTV, Out Of Home and online fundraising. Weve recently developed a new organisational strategy, with a key focus on supporter experience and will be embarking on a digital refresh towards the end of 2016. So were looking for someone with good knowledge of digital strategy, experience of seizing opportunities to develop new products and seeking out and nurturing new audiences especially using digital channels. Main Responsibilities To manage a range of direct marketing campaigns across both acquisition and retention from campaign planning stage to execution. This includes briefing and managing suppliers, working on data segmentation, identifying and briefing in all response handling requirements, managing the creative process of developing marketing materials and copywriting. To work across a mix of different channels at the same time including telemarketing, print, DRTV, digital, or Out Of Home. To manage expenditure and income budgets for own individual projects. To evaluate campaign results and report back on campaign performance on a regular basis Key Skills and Attributes Experience in delivering direct marketing campaigns from start to finish, ideally including telemarketing, mailings, and digital platforms. Experience working with a fundraising database. Very good understanding of developing strong creative working with internal and external suppliers. Highly numerate and good understanding of analysing and interpreting results. To carry out the role in a way that reflects Friends of the Earths Supporter Promise and organisational values. Desirable Experience using Google Analytics Knowledge and experience of managing social media campaigns Experience of Care NG Experience of using Drupal and Mailchimp About the Team This role is in the Individual Giving team, which sits within the Supporter Gifts & Engagement Department. The Individual Giving team raises over 85% of Friends of the Earths income through a variety of supporter recruitment and experience initiatives.
