With a stable of quality writers and exciting directing talent, we at Lime have gained a reputation as a first class production house. The company works with big talent to deliver distinctive, ground-breaking and addictive Drama. We are now looking for a DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANT to assist the Head of Drama and to provide administrative support within the busy Development team in Liverpool. The successful applicant will work closely with the Development team through commissioning, development and production of our diverse Lime Drama and Childrens slate. The development assistant will also scout for writers, ideas, novels and scripts that might have series potential and be responsible for the incoming scripts log. This is an excellent career development opportunity for a candidate with a proven passion for drama.
Applicants will ideally have experience within TV production/development/scripts and must have:
Demonstrable ability to effectively respond and give constructive feedback to scripts, treatments and ideas
The ability to read scripts and novels quickly and thoroughly
People skills tact, diplomacy, discretion and a sense of humour as well as being able to work well in a team
Excellent organisational and time management skills
First class written and verbal skills and the ability to draft documents to a professional standard
The ability to act as a professional first point of contact being a confident and articulate communicator
The ability to work to strict and pressurized deadlines
A desire to develop within the drama genre.
