Job Description

Permanent, based in Edinburgh Starting salary circa. 16,944 (Band B) We are looking to recruit a Finance Co-ordinator to join our team at The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE). You will be working as part of a small team of three finance co-ordinators to deliver core finance processing for RBGE, the Botanics Trading Company and the Botanics Foundation across a range of activities, providing cover for one another during holidays and other absences You will be responsible for all aspects of purchase ledger, scanning and matching purchase orders with invoices and inputting the details into the system, dealing with and resolving invoice queries, preparing journals, and executing payment runs. You will also play a key role in the preparation of monthly management accounts, handling cash and other income on a daily basis, recording and banking of receipts, processing Gift Aid, sales ledger activities, processing expenses and credit cards, supporting the Botanics Trading Company and the Botanics Foundation, as well as general administrative duties. Applicants should have good communication and numerical skills, be able to work as part of a small team, have experience of organising and prioritising own workload and be able to demonstrate good attention to detail. The ability to analyse information and good problem solving skills are also essential. Ideally, you should have prior experience of purchase and sales ledger processing. Knowledge and experience of SUN accounting package and FindDocs purchase to pay system or similar would be beneficial as would SVQ/NVQ level 2 in a related subject.
